Mia, I really liked seeing you think through these things. I think it's interesting to approach the play specifically from religion, and not the just the religious themes that permeate it. It might be an interesting discussion to see what kind of tensions there would be in sort of promoting the text under a specific sect. ReplyDeleteDon't worry, you're not alone. I've been having a hard time with pinning down a thesis too. The mercy and justice theme is intriguing.
