I'm actually really intrigued by your idea of analyzing Shakespeare's play based on the controversy of the monarchy. I think it's a pretty unique idea. I did a little research on royal scandals especially connected with Shakespearean plays, and this seemed like it would fit. I didn't read it all the way through, but the abstract made it seem pretty applicable. I hope this helps!
